The iconic ridge between emerald Gjende and blue Bessvatnet.
The trailhead is near Gjendesheim in Jotunheimen, Innlandet. The walk is 14 km with 1100 m of ascent and takes 6 to 8 hrs, and the usual season is late June to early September. The closest scenic drive is the Valdresflye route, roughly 17 km away.
Why it's loved. ~60,000 hikers a year for good reason; ferry to Memurubu and hike back.
