A 2,068 m summit crowned by DNT's highest staffed lodge.
The trailhead is near Turtagrø in Jotunheimen, Vestland, about 138 km from Ålesund. The walk is 12 km with 1200 m of ascent and takes 7 to 9 hrs, and the usual season is July to September. The trailhead sits on the Sognefjellet scenic route itself.
Why it's loved. Glacier and Hurrungane views and a hut to sleep at the top.
