The 1,564 m 'Queen of the Sunnmøre Alps' rising straight from Hjørundfjorden.
The trailhead is near Øye in Sunnmøre Alps, Møre og Romsdal, about 38 km from Ålesund. The walk is 10 km with 1450 m of ascent and takes 7 to 9 hrs, and the usual season is July to September. The closest scenic drive is the Norangsdalen route, roughly 3 km away.
Why it's loved. Slingsby called it the most beautiful peak in Norway; a demanding, rocky classic.
