A ridge walk over Mefjord and Ørnfjord, a locals' favourite.
The trailhead is near Mefjordvær in Senja, Troms, about 63 km from Tromsø. The walk is 6 km with 659 m of ascent and takes 3 to 4 hrs, and the usual season is June to September. The closest scenic drive is the Senja route, roughly 3.4 km away.
Why it's loved. Many argue it's a better all-round panorama than Segla and you'll likely have it to yourself.
Skip the crowds. This is the quieter alternative to Segla, same kind of reward, far fewer people.
