A flat cliff 600 m above the Lysefjord, Norway's most famous hike.
The trailhead is near Stavanger in Ryfylke, Rogaland, about 23 km from Stavanger. The walk is 8 km with 350 m of ascent and takes 4 hrs, and the usual season is April to October (good weather). The closest scenic drive is the Ryfylke route, roughly 3.1 km away.
Why it's loved. The view down the Lysefjord is unreal, but it heaves with people; go before 8 AM.
Season: April to October (good weather)
