On a clear day you can see a sixth of Norway from this 1,883 m summit.
The trailhead is near Rjukan in Telemark, about 120 km from Oslo. The walk is 9 km with 700 m of ascent and takes 3 to 4 hrs, and the usual season is June to October.
Why it's loved. 'Norway's most beautiful mountain'; an inside-the-mountain funicular is the easy way up.
