A high balcony ridge above the Hardangerfjord and its orchards.
The trailhead is near Lofthus in Hardanger, Vestland, about 74 km from Bergen. The walk is 16 km with 900 m of ascent and takes 6 to 8 hrs, and the usual season is June to September. The closest scenic drive is the Hardanger route, roughly 22 km away.
Why it's loved. A quieter Hardanger classic with non-stop fjord views.
